EA E3 Conference
Hey guys, how's it going? Who else is excited about E3? I am! I don't know of many big games that are going to be at E3 this year but there are some that I am looking forward to seeing such as Watch Dogs 2 which was just announced (eeeeeeeee!) to Deus Ex Mankind Divided (even more eeeeeee!!) which is my most anticipated game. Other than those two there are some other big games such as FIFA and Titanfall.
So this post is about EA's conference that happened last night. Because they couldn't do E3....And I was excited to hear about Mass Effect Andromeda. I love the Mass Effect games and have played the last two of them which I loved. The environment, the story and the world they created was awesome and had so much vision and life. I liked the gameplay and weapons and the fact in the 3rd one you could customize more. It was a game you could easily lose yourself in.
The fourth Mass Effect which is a complete different game than the others as there is no Shepherd :(. I loved Shepherd and the whole story, whether you picked the male or female versions. However the worlds look just as vivid and beautiful. And big! That's what I loved about the previous games as well as farming the planets! Which I don't think they do anymore which sucks cause it was fun, don't ask me why but I just loved doing it xD.
And then came Battlefield 1...............And I just cannot explain my feelings about this. I am only recently into the Battlefield franchise and play Battlefield 4 fairly regularly. And I was excited for the new game until it was revealed to be in World War 1. Because while World War 1 was innovative with its weapons and stuff it is still World War 1. I prefer my warfare modern. So watching the gameplay (on crappy XBox xP) I can say I am not feeling it. Yes the graphics are cool and they are sharp and you can see really far into the distance. The map, at least the one they showed the gameplay on was freaking huuuuuge! I have some issues with this game which I know hardcore old school Battlefield players will love.
But first, the sights on the guns seem freaking shit! They seem like they are only iron sights and for someone like me who needs a good sight it is going to be near impossible for me to kill someone. Secondly the reload times seems long and from what I saw it seems long enough that you have time to get bayoneted! Like WTF??
Then it seems at least on what they showed that there are only 4 people to a squad? I don't know if this is confirmed or if this is an Xbox thing but if its only 4 people to a squad that just sucks. And a preset freaking loadout?? How is that even going to work? And if you are a sniper, there are apparently armour piercing rounds for a sniper. How this will be effective or work is still unclear but it seems kind of cool to have.
Overall it seems way more war zone-y than Battlefield 3 or 4 but I am not amused with the game. I like the graphics and visually it looks good but the actual gameplay does not appeal to me. I would much rather have preferred another modern take on Battlefield and in honesty I am considering COD.
