Tokyo Day 3

Today was Diver City and Akihabara Day. Diver City is a mall that is comprised of 8 floors of shops, games and restaurants. And time in here can go by very quickly. without realising it 3-4 hours had gone by. It was spent looking around at all the shops because I'm quite liking the fashion over here. Personally I think it has a big american influence but it is also conservative and cute.

Also we found these little figure vending machines (Gacha) and quickly became obsessed. I happened upon the Attack on Titan ones and my boyfriend happened upon the Gundams (which are sooooooo cute!!). It's really fun when you open up the capsule and have to assemble them and they do not look bad (like some inexpensive toys can look).

And then came the displays that were scattered around the mall. The first display we came across was from One Piece. Next to the statues was a pop up store where you could buy lots of One Piece merchandise.

The next display was of Naruto and it was there due to the release of Boruto. I am a mahooosive Naruto fan (sooooooooo sad its over!!!) so this one I found awesome as F (I just wish I could watch Boruto!).

I also ended up buying a khaki shirt from a store called Venice Exchange which has some really nice clothes. I had a little mishap in here due to how in the changing rooms your meant to take your shoes off! But I got there in the end XD.

The shirt is a bit oversized but it is so versatile and keeps me warm when it's a bit windy and chilly out (and raining because it won't stop raining!!!).

The rest of the day was spent in Akihabara or Akiba also known as Electric Town. This place is bustling with lights and sounds and there is a lot to see here, overwhelmingly so. Here you can buy all things anime like figures and manga and teddy bears to swords and the like. Also all of your electronic goods should you so wish like cameras and laptops. There is also a few gift shops around and if you're looking for something uniquely Japanese, Maid Cafe's.

After wandering around and looking at all the storefronts for a little while, trying to absorb everything it was time for a quick stop at the Excelsior Cafe. I find that most cafes have English on their menu's so its very easy to order.

Also we ventured into Don Quijote and holy moly! This place is HUUUUUUGE! It has 8 floors full of absolutely everything and anything you could ever want or need. From cosmetics to shirts to swimming floats to kitchenware. It was astounding the amount of products in this place. And it's open 24 hours a day! So if you ever have an urge at like 3am to get something you can!

And after all that walking around we were both sooooooo pooped so for dinner it was a quick trip to the Seven Eleven (such handy places!) and then a swift prompt knockout! XD

Till next time xx
