Crosstown Doughnuts
The gourmet doughnuts that are definitely different than any
doughnut I’ve had before. And the reason for that is due to the fact they are made out of
sourdough and are kind of bread like. I think they're meant to be healthier than normal doughnuts but don't quote me on that! They are made fresh every day
as are the glazes and compotes and they have a range of flavours to suit everyone’s taste.
I first came across this place in a little store in a tube station and I was like hmm what's this? Because the doughnuts look so good in the window and also very colourful so its eye catching. Naturally this meant I had to go to the actual store.

I was a bit of a piggy and I bought a whole box (to share with
friends and family of course xD). Because you know, I cannot have just one flavour! I wanted to try them all (still have a few more to try though!).
The flavours I chose from left to right were: sea salt caramel banana, matcha tea,
seven berry glaze, crème brulee, tropical compote and finally choc cinnamon and passion
fruit scroll.
They were all really good but I have to say I was not a fan of the chocolate cinnamon
scroll (it tasted way too bready). But the others that I tried (matcha tea, sea salt caramel and
crème brulee) were all really good. Like the crème brulee one with the stuff in
the middle was delish! I know I say that about a lot of food but there is a lot of good food around!
These doughnuts are not cheap but if you happen to get a
craving for a different take on doughnuts it’s a good place to try out (at least once!). They also do a really good deal to get a cup of coffee and a doughnut. I will say though you won't be able to hang around because the shop is really small, like literally 6 seats small.
