Tokyo Day 3 2016 Edit
Hey guys, how's it going? Hope you are all well. So jet lag is hitting us hard! Like seriously, we went to sleep so early last night and are up again really early! At like 6.30am which is just like gah! But the weather is gorgeous today and it was decided to go and visit the Skytree and of course the Pokemon Center that they have there (which only opened this year!). And yes...obsessed with Pokemon we are xD.
So the Skytree is the tallest tower in the world of its kind and I would recommend booking your tickets in advance as if you go on a whim like we did you will have to wait in a looooong ass queue that took us 45 minutes just to purchase tickets. And the observation decks were literally packed full of people, way more people than any other observation tower in Tokyo. It can feel very cramped and you have to fight to get a spot to see anything. But the views up here are amazing and it is always nice to look out and be able to see how vast Tokyo actually is. The Skytree is quite pricey especially if you want to do both levels which is something to keep in mind.
Of course we took a quick trip to the Pokemon Center. It is not as large as the one in Sunshine City but it is quite big (and also a Gym). They have a slightly different selection of Pokemon here and of course you get to see the mascot (Rayquaza! which is sooo cool!). I purchased a few things from here because you know, souvenirs lol xD.
After wandering around and enjoying the Skytree we decided to grab a bite to eat on the 3rd floor of the Skytree in the food court. And oooomg this was the best Bibimbap I have ever tasted! Like seriously, I dream about how good this Bibimbap was! It wasn't expensive either so if you take a trip here definitely check out the food courts. The restaurants/cafes in the actual Skytree, on the observation decks are a bit more expensive but of course you get the nice view to go along with your meal.

Also for you Pokemon Go players there are an abundance of Pokemon here to catch but mainly water types as you are right by the Sumida River. If your looking to get a Gyarados then this is the place to catch a lot of Magikarp.
Its definitely a nice place to come and just chill even if you do not go up into the tower. There are a lot of food places in and around the Skytree as well as numerous souvenir shops. And viewing the Skytree from outside and catching Pokemon can be quite fun.
Till next time xx
