Tokyo Day 6 & 7
Hey guys, so today it was another visit underground to Tokyo Station Character Street (so many stations are like mini cities!). It's an area in the station that has roughly 15 shops of well known Japanese Characters such as the Pokemon store to Tamagotchi to Rilakkuma to name a few.
The Pokemon Store was obviously somewhere I had to visit. It's small compared to the actual Pokemon Center but you can still get quite a few items here (like an limited edition Tokyo Station Pikachu).
After wandering around admiring all the shops it was back to Harajuku and Daiso (100 yen shop). It is one of the largest and has so many things inside. Like you can literally buy food to utensils to fancy dress items to sewing essentials. Unfortunately taking photos or video was not allowed (I tried and got told off :/) so I don't have any photos to show you guys but it was fun having a look at all the things you could buy. Definitely go and check out a 100 yen store if you ever come to Japan.
The next day it was time to go to Ginza and shop, shop, shop XD. The main reason for going to Ginza is the flagship Uniqlo store which guys, is huuuuuuuge! I think it is 13 floors and we ended up spending roughly three hours inside looking at everything (and spending lots of money!). And the view from the top floors is really cool. They do tax free shopping in here as well so make sure to have your passport on you should you go. Uniqlo is one of those brands that is quite minimalistic in style but do great quality.
You can also visit the Sony building which has all of their products inside (most of which you can purchase). If you want to buy some products or just play around with them it's a cool place to go and check out (if you have the time).
After window shopping for a while it was back to Tokyo and time for dinner where we ventured into our first Izakaya (Japanese pub). This is a place where you can drink and eat until your heart's content. I love these places because you can get picky bits kind of like tapas that definitely fill you up. Most places charge 400 yen as a sort of cover and they give you an appetizer. And omg I ate Unagi (eel). Anyone who knows me knows I hate fish and anything to do with fish so it was an accomplishment that I even tried it. I have to say though it was good but I'm not sure I would ever order it of my own accord XD. These places allow smoking inside so if that is a problem just be wary.
And that was day 6 and 7. The holiday is coming to a slow wind down (as we've pretty much done everything in one week!). So we (if you don't know who we is, it's me and my boyfriend FYI) are trying to chill out and not do as much because it has been kind of hectic travelling around Tokyo and absorbing all there is to see (which is sooooooo much!).
Hope everyone is well and doing having a good day/night wherever you are in the world XD
xx

Ginza is an upmarket area with a lot of designer shops and lovely places to eat. It's an area that has some little hidden gems such as the curry restaurant we found. The restaurant was opened after World War II and is a family run restaurant. It was soooooooo nom nom and reasonably priced. I know the picture looks unappetizing but it was really, really good. And we got a nice soup along with it (no idea what it was but it was yummy).
