Tokyo ending

Hey guys, hope everyone is well.

I cannot believe our trip is almost over! Sad times :( but of course it's back to reality.

So the last few days of our trip has been filled with mainly just relaxing and not doing too much. A lot of shopping occured though (something I am soooooo going to miss!). There is such good fashion and food (the ramen, the karaage, the curry, the bbq omg! the list goes on XD) and cosmetics (Shu Uemura and Shiseido are among my new faves!) among other things to buy out here. Having had such a busy time, relaxation was definitely needed.

And the last few days gave me time for some contemplation and just absorbing the fact that I have been able to fulfil this years long desire to come to this wonderful country and see at least a part of it has been incredible (thank you universe for this opportunity!).

My time in Tokyo has been awesome and I have loved every minute of it. I am going to miss (very much so) vending machines and the toilets! Lol I know that sounds weird but you kind of get used to the toilets (the warm seats guys!) XD. Of course there were a few downsides to the trip, namely the language barrier but it was nothing that could not be worked around. The people we came across were so welcoming and polite and helpful. I would definitely say if you plan to come here (not just Tokyo but Japan) be prepared for not many English menu's and fluent English speakers (there are some though so do not panic!) and try and learn some basic Japanese. Even if it's saying thank you and hello (it came in useful).

And also FYI the transport here is kind of expensive so be prepared for that. I would say travelling on the bus is cheaper but it also takes longer so weigh up the options of what's better for the time you have.

Overall the culture, the food, the people and the architecture has been amazing and such a wonderful experience. Tokyo is so full of old and new, which is very odd but I think so damn cool. Like you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city and take a trip to some of the many shrines/temples or one of the many parks and just chill out. I cannot convey how much my love for this country has grown. And I cannot wait to come back and see and experience more.

So thank you Tokyo, Japan for a wonderful and memorable trip XD XD XD.

xx
