Lip/Face mask review
Hey guys, how is everyone? Hope everyone is enjoying this weather as much as I am! I'm just hoping that there will not be loads of April showers. But now that I've said that ... XD. So this is going to be a post where I'm reviewing a couple of things I bought recently.
So I picked this up while there was a beauty event going on. It is a liquid lipstick by Stila. And I actually purchased this from Marks & Spencer. They seem to be bringing more brands into their lineup and I'm liking it. I was looking for a nude-ish/spring shade and Patina caught my eye.
It looks quite light in swatches but it seems to dry down to a different slightly darker colour. It is a dusty pink/mauve and I am kind of in love with it. This also smells like cupcakes (yum!) and it has quite a creamy formula. It applies really well and easily (especially for me who sucks at applying lip products!) and it is not super drying. Although if you make a mistake work fast as this dries super quickly. I will say that it will exacerbate dry patches so make sure to exfoliate those lips! This does not transfer however for me this does not last through dinner nicely. I would recommend these if you're not going to be eating lots or something like dimsum like I did.
Another purchase from Marks & Spencer is by REN. It is the Glycolactic Radiance Renewal mask. I purchased the Glow and Go kit from them a while back to try this out and another mask, the vitamin C one (which does help with brightening!). I quite liked the results this gave me. It has quite a citrusy smell and this mask seems to brighten as well as exfoliate. I have noticed after using this for a couple of weeks that the texture on my skin seems to be less than before. It also leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth. I use this about once a week as that is all my skin can handle.
So after my little size ran out I had to purchase a full sized one because I quite like this mask. I have very sensitive skin so I was weary to try this as it says it is not for sensitive skin. However I find that there was no irritation. Be careful if you do have sensitive skin though and always try it out on a patch before you use it as everyone is different and can have a different reaction. It is a little pricey so buying a full size if you have not used this before but it does work.
Do you guys have any items that you're coveting or are must have?
Till next time xx
