Shiseido Perfect Whip and LuLuLun Mask
Hey guys, how are you all doing? I know that it has been aaaaages since I have updated my blog but life has gotten in the way (as it does!) and so I have not had time! Which sucks :(. I hope if you are having exams at the moment that they are going well! Or perhaps by now they are over...
So some of you might not know but I went to Japan last year and I picked up quite a few beauty bits to try out. So this post is about a quite reasonably priced item by Shiseido called Perfect Whip. This caught my attention because it was by Shiseido and everyone says when you come to Japan that this is one of the products to buy and try. It was not too expensive so if I did not like it I would not have minded. But now that I've tried it out (for the past 6 weeks now) I love it.
The texture initially when it comes out of the tube is very strange, it is a thick-ish stringy texture kind of like those chewy sweets you got as a kid (if anyone remembers!). With this you only need a pea sized amount, maybe even less, add a little bit of water and make a foam (I would say a lather) out of it. I cannot make a whip out of this like in this advert (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pI_wQsulknQ) it is literally impossible! But I have found that I just add a little bit of water and rub it between by hands and then on my face.
I do not use this around my eyes though as I have ridiculously sensitive eyes and my eyes do not like this. Other than that however this is such a good cleanser. It literally washes away everything and leaves skin smooth and soft and with a squeaky clean feeling. It can leave your skin a little tight but it's one of those weird things that happens only sometimes. This has a nice floral clean scent, nothing over powering. This is part of the Shiseido drugstore line up and for the price I think this is quite good. And it has been working really well with my skin, keeping it clear and fresh.
You can purchase this online so if you're not actually going to Japan you can buy it and try it. I think it is like £5-6 on Amazon, so if it does not work out it is not a huge loss of money. And it can always be given away to someone to try and see if they like it.
The next thing I tried are these masks from LuLuLun. I purchased the Moisture Sheet Masks. The pack I bought has 7 sheets inside, supposedly one for each day. This was my first time using a sheet mask and it was an experience xD. The sheets inside are all layered together and seriously very wet. I did not expect there to be so much liquid inside! Taking one sheet off the top was fairly easy and the rest goes back into the resealable bag. So this is what I looked like...lol an absolutely crazy person! xD. It is definitely a strange experience using these and looking like a complete weirdo! But hey, for the sake of skincare who cares right?
(LOL at this pic!!)
It is fairly simple and straightforward to put on your face. Just line it up and then press it down gently on your face. You can then go and lie down for 10-15 minutes and let the mask do its thang! Again it feels quite wet yet quite cooling which is a really odd feeling. After time is up, take the mask off, throw it away and gently pat/massage your skin to absorb the excess essence. The skin afterwards does feel a little tacky but after patting in the excess product in that feeling goes away (at least for me!).
This definitely feels odd on the skin but I can already tell that it has helped soften my skin (like omg, baby soft skin!) and made my skin appear brighter. These are relatively inexpensive and I am definitely going to be using the rest of the masks. Maybe not everyday but probably once a week with the rest of my masks.
Till next time xx
