Ramen & Drinks
Hey guys, hope all is well. Isn't this weather just plain horrible at the moment? It is literally making me want to stay indoors under a duvet and just not move XP. Instead of doing that I have ventured out and dealt with this weather and getting ridiculously frizzy hair along the way... So I headed down to Central London with some of my friends to get some ramen and drinks. We headed to a place I've never been to before called Bone Daddies.
They have a few branches scattered around London and the one we went to was located in Soho. And daaaaaaaaaamn this place was busy. It's a really strange place because it's literally like a mix between a bar and a restaurant with music pumping loudly as you eat.
They have a limited menu, the drinks menu is arguably the biggest however they have the classics you would expect coming to a ramen place. We ordered Tonkotsu Ramen (pork bone broth) and one of my friends got the Miso Ramen (the one in the middle). The ramen was good however it's not as good as Japanese ramen or other ramen places I've been too. The thing that put me off was the fact that it had a burnt taste to it. And I'm not sure if that is meant to be a part of it or not but I did not enjoy that. Other than that it was nice and definitely filling especially if you get a beer to go along with it. And Japanese beer is really good so I would recommend getting it.
We also ordered a side of Korean Fried Chicken Wings. Because guys...if you have not had Korean Fried Chicken (KFC XD) then you really need to because it is by far the best thing in the entire world!!!! Now I will say these weren't the best KFC I've had but they were really good. After eating a few of these you start to notice that they have a kick to them and your mouth will start to tingle a bit. But they were nice and I would recommend getting them if you come to here.
After dinner we headed to a bar called Brasserie Zedel. And this place is really cool. They have cabaret on which you can book tickets to and two different bars. The bar we went into was called Bar Americain. Usually you have to make a reservation or give your name to the clerk and wait about 10 minutes to be seated. But it's worth it. The whole place has a noir 1920s feel to it. And the ambiance inside is to die for! Definitely a good date place to go to because it is intimate, the lighting is romantic and has soft jazz music playing in the background.
They have a wide range of cocktails and even give you some popcorn free of charge to pick on. Of course they have some actual picky bits to order as well. I would recommend the olives because they come with some almonds and are really good.
Till next time xx
